About project
A Flutter app that maps more than 200 US tours, historic sites, attractions and activities, sorted by distance and filterable by date and city.
Ghost tours, historical societies, rodeos and fireworks shows are often run by small local organisers and are hard to find. The app gathers them in one place for travellers and locals.
Challenges & Solutions
Challenges
Four content types with different fields had to feel like one experience, and a map with hundreds of pins had to stay fast and readable at every zoom level.
Solutions
A structured content model covers tours, historical sites, attractions and activities, each with its own metadata, and every listing shows distance, opening status, contact details and a website link.
Google Maps clustering keeps more than 200 pins readable, lists sort by distance from the user, and a date picker filters activities and events by day and city.
