About project
A booking engine that lets patients find a certified doctor, pick a live slot and confirm a video or in-person visit in under 60 seconds, with no double bookings.
A clinic network wanted patients to stop booking by phone. Patients struggled to find qualified specialists and check their credentials, and doctors dealt with schedule conflicts and scattered patient histories.
The scheduling engine connects patients and doctors directly: search, live availability, instant confirmation and a review once the visit is done.
Challenges & Solutions
Challenges
Phone tag, unmanaged cancellations and double bookings were costing the clinics time and revenue, and availability had to stay correct across doctors working in different time zones.
Solutions
Patients search certified practitioners by specialty and location, filter by video or in-person visit and pick a slot straight from an interactive calendar that reflects the doctor's real availability.
Slots are reserved with optimistic locking, so two patients can never take the same time. Completed visits unlock re-booking and a verified review, and confirmations and reminders go out by SMS and email.
