About project

An offline Flutter app that lets drivers and carriers check axle weights against the US Federal Bridge Gross Weight Formula before the weigh station.

The app calculates legal axle weights and bridge limits for commercial vehicles on US interstate highways, implementing the Federal Bridge Gross Weight formula (23 CFR 658.17).

Every calculation runs on the device, so drivers get an answer at a loading dock or a remote scale with no signal.

An overloaded inner axle group can fail inspection even when the gross weight is legal, and drivers need answers in places without coverage.

Solutions

A compliance engine tests every consecutive axle combination on the vehicle, including tractor, inner and outer bridges, for configurations of up to 9 axles.

BLoC keeps calculation models separate from widgets, Formz validates every input and numeric keyboard controls speed up entering many fields on a phone.
